Described by The New York Times as “a blend of Michael Jackson and Sarah Vaughan,” French jazz singer Cyrille Aimée was destined to find her way to the Parker Palm Springs, a perfect backdrop for this artist’s own saucy-cool vibe.
Chic, international, playful and contemporary, Cyrille also brings a younger sensibility without sacrificing jazz credibility. The French-to-Cuban musical journey gives Shelly considerable room to curate something original for this live jazz performance in Palm Springs.

Judy created the stunning landscape experience that defines our 13-acre estate. Beginning in 2004, Judy and Elysian Landscapes transformed the grounds into a collection of outdoor rooms; winding pathways, citrus and lavender gardens, places to gather, play or disappear. More than 20 years later, the landscape continues to evolve. Judy recently returned to design our new stone Amphitheater, a beautiful and natural addition to the estate, and the perfect setting for this conversation.

In partnership with the Palm Springs Art Museum, this event features a chance to meet Jonathan Adler, the designer behind The Parker Palm Springs whose glam American-mod style is celebrated for its unabashed vibrancy. The conversation will touch on Jonathan’s meandering career (from wannabe movie exec to potter to one of the world’s most recognizable designers) and how the Parker, the first hotel he ever designed in Palm Springs, continues to evolve its own unique point-of-view on what makes a hotel experience truly unforgettable. In classic Parker style, this program will also serve as a playful inauguration of the new pool and will also include a special gathering at the Gene Autry House.

Purchased in 1961 by Western movie star Gene Autry, The Parker Palm Springs has long reigned as the desert’s coolest address, having served as the stomping grounds of Frank Sinatra and Rat Pack, and other glitterati. Today, the lushly planted estate (owned by Jack Parker Corporation) is just as known for its throwback glamor as for the whimsical, exuberant style courtesy of designer Jonathan Adler. Just a ten-minute drive from downtown Palm Springs, the Parker feels like a desert oasis.
Accommodations, including 144 rooms, suites and villas, are tucked into 13 acres of gardens and palm-tree studded grounds. The nautical-inspired spa is the desert’s only “yacht club,” with 15 treatment rooms named after America’s Cup champions, an indoor pool and totally tailor-made wellness programming. The property also encompasses two sparkling outdoor pools, clay tennis and padel courts, and pétanque and croquet lawns. With five unique dining and drinking venues (including ever-popular mister parker’s), the hotel is one of the Coachella Valley’s top culinary hot spots. In January, don’t be surprised if you bump into Hollywood’s brightest stars: this is where A-listers stay during the Palm Springs International Film Festival like to check in.
